Cool Church in Hot Country: Yeah man…

World's best team? Jérémie just posted some news and photos on his blog. Last Sunday, he visited a church in Jamaica. But it wasn't just a visit, they were asked to run the whole service. You can read the whole story on his blog.
PS. Staying in the family. Sunday night we had a very enjoyable Sushi-party. Thanks Rachel for all the hard work!

A Bunch of Nuts Serving the King Nut

Jérémie is off serving onboard the Logos Hope (as you may know). And now he's off the ship for an inland team. They'll be dramatizing a lot… the Gospel. You can read all about it on his blog (or hope for more news soon).

Storms in Barbados, Bring Up the Anchor!

Jérémie posted a report on their time in Barbados, life onboard the Logos Hope, the storm brewing in the Caribbean and tells us how we can be helping him.

My Little Brother Onboard the Logos Hope

I thought I would remind everyone that we still have a Kapi clan member onboard OM Ships. Jérémie joined the Logos Hope in January 2009. He posts regularly on his blog Current News. The photo posted here is the LH drama team (Jérémie among them) performing for the crowds waiting on the quayside.

After 8 months as an Engine Watchkeeper, Jérémie has taken on a new job. He's the Logos Hope plumber! You can read about the recent changes here.

If you want to keep up with life on the Logos Hope. Do think of signing up on Jérémie's blogs for his updates.

New Recruits On Logos Hope (Video)

Enjoy this fun little video showing the new PST that arrived onboard the Logos Hope. Please pray that they would have the glory of God at heart. There is so much potential in their work onboard.

A Word From George Verwer

A matter of urgency
Logos Hope :: Cork, Ireland
Founder George Verwer (USA) enjoying a day at sea after leaving London and the London Launch.OM Founder George Verwer (USA) sailed on board Logos Hope from London to Cork after the ship's successful visit to the UK's capital city. He shared the need to recognise our limitations: we can't do everything, but we should do what we know how to do best. He stated that OM's gifting is to mobilise the church to share the Gospel, and to help with seven global challenges: children at risk, abused women, extreme poverty, HIV /AIDS, people with impure water, protecting the unborn, and the environment. Stressing the urgency, he said, "We have to redeem time, to prioritise it, not waste it while the world is perishing without hope."

Jérémie and the Logos Hope On the High Seas!

Jérémie is sailing to the Caribbean with the rest of the Logos Hope crew. He gives an update in this post: Caribbean Here We Come!

Before that he was able to come and surprise Mélanie by attending her baptism. You can go on the family blog for some really nice photos.

Weekend in Ireland

Nothing much being said here. Too busy keeping up with my Bible reading schedule (a brother and I (mostly him) are devouring God's word), working in the publishing world and doing homework.

But this weekend I'll be in N. Ireland, catching up with friends (and hanging out on the Logos Hope again). Enjoy the month of May, its gorgeous!

The Logos Hope is Leaving the UK for a While…

The Logos Hope is sailing towards the Faeroe Islands and Jérémie is giving us news.
We've come to the end of our stay in Scotland! With over 12 000 visitors and a strong partnership with the Scottish churches, God has…

Jérémie Finally Got His Clothes Dirty On the Logos Hope!

I'm off for a weekend at the beach… I hope you are all jealous. But relax this is a northern beach. I don't expect to even see the ocean. It's all part of an Easter weekend Church gathering. You can be praying that we would spend quality time together and grow closer to one another through this time.

Take a few seconds to see what Jérémie has been up to onboard the Logos Hope. Click here or on the photo to understand why he's got a mask on.

Frenchmen in Exile on a Ship

As much as people hate us, you've got to admit that its because deep down, everyone thinks French people are some of the nicest people around. So if you want a taste of the Logos Hope with a French zang, you can follow my brother Jérémie as he discovers life onboard Logos Hope. Having been on Doulos myself, I listen with fond nostalgia to his stories, his thoughts and his discoveries. What's more, he's finally gotten around to posting photos. For some reason, he chose black and white (very artsy), but they're still photos.
We also have friends from a sister church that have been onboard since September 2008. Their blog is also worth reading. A lot more photos there!

Netherlands, Here We Come!

The Logos Hope has left Sweden headed for the Netherlands. Jérémie has news of the time in Sweden as well as details of the voyage to Harlingen. I've got to get him to start putting up photos! For your information, Harlingen will be Port #2 in the Logos Hope history of ports. THAT is pretty cool. I wish I could join them!
Pray that the crew will rapidly gain an understanding of how things work. Jérémie did mention that everything is new for everyone, so it can be interesting at times... Pray also that each young crewmember will be focused on glorifying God in all that they do.
For those among you that had watched the departure video and wondered how Ruben did it, you can check out their blog. Oops, its in French... Well the photo is clear enough! :)

The Logos Hope Sailing Already On Video!

Fresh from the studios, here is a Logos Hope video showing the ship sailing. The leaders give a few words and there are some good shots of the departure.

Jérémie is Getting Settled in and the Logos Hope Will Sail Soon!

Go read the post on my brother Jérémie's blog. He's just joined with his Preship (PST on his blog) and is settling to life onboard.
He doesn't mention what his job is, so I will. He's been assigned to the Engine Room and from the conversation I overheard, he's already come to believe its the best department onboard (he's probably right, for the while, as the deck department isn't a pleasant place to work when its freezing outside. But things will change when they hit the tropics!).

Who is Jérémie K?

For those of you who have asked me, "who is Jérémie?" I thought I should explain as I'll be keeping tabs on him over the next two years. Jérémie K is my little brother. He's just joined OM onboard their new ship, the Logos Hope.
I guess he liked what he heard from my three years onboard the Doulos, but didn't want to join the same ship as his big brother! :-)

Jérémie has arrived onboard the Logos Hope and there's video!

I don't have the video. It wasn't easy to embed it here, so you can go see it on Jérémie's blog and on the Logos Hope website of course.
The 39 new recruits walked onboard the Logos Hope to a warm welcome. You can pray that they rapidly integrate the community. It isn't an easy transition for either parties. The welcomers have just said goodbye to many good friends (having completed their 2-year commitment) and the welcomed are entering a strange new world.

Meet a frenchman onboard the Logos Hope.

Two of my friends are onboard the Logos Hope since September 2008. They're from the city nearest to me, Valenciennes. I just found a short interview Ruben gave for the Logos Hope website and I thought you would enjoy it. Remember to pray for them and the small French church that supports them.
